In the spirit of the 100th Day of School, the second graders dressed up as 100-year-olds!
Our school celebrated 100 days of school today! Our kindergarten students had shirts full of 100 items from marshmallows to pompoms to hearts. They even purchased items from their ten-stores with $10 fun money. A great day at OCES!
Congratulations to Madisyn Allen, Angel Rose Salter, and Allison Graybeal! They placed second, first, and third respectively in the Arbor Day poster contest hosted by Tree City USA! Angel's poster will be taken to Manhattan for a regional contest. Great work, 5th grade ladies!
Officer Felix is back at it again having another successful S.A.F.E event. This month's theme is "LEAVE THEM ON RED". Reminding students that being SAFE in a vehicle is not just wearing a seatbelt but also not texting and driving.
Per K.S.A. 8-15,111. "No person shall operate a motor vehicle on a public road or highway while using a wireless communications device to write, send or read a written communication."
Our students pledge this month by painting one, or two, thumb nails red as a reminder not to text and drive. Officer Felix and Osage City High School is proud to have S.A.F.E as a resource for students.
Next month's theme is "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" happening February 13th.
